Overview

We are looking for a responsible and friendly Gas Station Cashier to join our team at Nevers Road Convenience / Esso, Waasis, NB. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and help maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Operate the POS system for cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Handle lottery tickets, tobacco sales, and age-restricted products (ID checks required)
- Restock shelves, fridges, and front counter items
- Keep the store clean, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing displays
- Maintain accurate cash handling and follow store procedures
- Carries out daily opening and closing procedures based on assigned shift
- Report any issues, shortages, or concerns to the supervisor/manager

Requirements

- Must be reliable and punctual
- Strong communication and customer service skills




- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Comfortable standing for long periods and handling busy times
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Must be at least 19 years old (to sell tobacco/lottery)
- Previous cashier or convenience store experience is an asset (training provided)

Schedule

- Part-time / Full-time
- Flexible shifts (day, evening, weekends as needed)
- Up to 32 hours per week

Pay

- $15.90 per hour (New Brunswick minimum wage)
- On-site parking
