Position Overview

We are looking for a General Lobour -Yard Assistant to join our Maple Ridge team. While Maple Ridge will be the employee’s primary work location, the successful candidate must be willing to provide operational support at our Richmond facility from time to time as business needs require.

This role involves grading, sorting, and scaling non-ferrous metals, assisting with general yard clean-up, and supporting daily yard operations. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is reliable, hard-working, and eager to learn about the metal recycling industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Grade, sort, and upgrade non-ferrous metals.
- Scale and record non-ferrous materials accurately.
- Assist with general yard clean-up and organization.
- Help packaging and strapping inventory.
- Help recording and keep updated the yard inventory.




- Support yard operations and team members as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

- No experience required; training will be provided.
- Hard-working, reliable, and coachable.
- Open to learning the identification, classification, and handling of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Solid communication skills in English and ability to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in an outdoor and physically demanding conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to support different areas of the yard based on operational needs.
- Flexible and willing to provide operational support at our Richmond location when business needs require.
- Ready to start immediately.

Position Details

- Full-time, stable position.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Must be available to work on Saturdays - based on operational needs.
