The Community Safety Department is seeking a Custodial Guard to oversee prisoners during transfers and maintain order within the facility. This role involves searching and inspecting cells, keeping logs, and performing minor janitorial tasks as needed. Candidates must exhibit calmness and decisiveness in emergencies and possess the physical strength required for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and supervise prisoners in a secure environment
• Inspect cells before and after prisoner movements
• Accompany prisoners during transfers with R.C.M.P.

• Maintain accurate prisoner log books and records
• Perform minor cleaning tasks as part of the role
Requirements:
• High school graduation or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of prisoner management policies
• Ability to act effectively during emergencies
• Strong physical capability and alertness
• Intermediate First Aid Certificate (OFA 2) required
