This position engages you in monitoring a locked maximum-security area, ensuring prisoner safety. As a Custodial Guard, you will conduct inspections, assist during transfers, and maintain detailed prisoner logs. You will also be expected to respond calmly to minor disturbances and perform minor janitorial duties as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain surveillance over prisoners at all times
• Inspect cells before and after prisoner handling
• Accompany prisoners during transfers with law enforcement




• Log prisoner activity and updates thoroughly
• Perform minor cleaning tasks as directed
Requirements:
• High school graduation or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of prisoner custody policies and procedures
• Ability to maintain alertness in high-stress situations
• Intermediate First Aid Certificate required
• Obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance
