We're hiring a General Manager to take ownership of our York Region location. As the GM in York Region, you’ll own day-to-day operations across TOP Hockey, TOP Soccer, TOP Lacrosse, and TOP Sports Camps, focusing on driving growth and developing a strong community, while creating world-class programs and ensuring our players and families have a outstanding experience. This is an opportunity to lead and grow an established location, build teams, create programs, and make a measurable impact on the next generation of athletes.

You’ll thrive here if you love creating community, leading people, solving problems, and building something meaningful.

Growth & Operations

- Drive growth across the York Region location by increasing registrations and revenue, launching new programs, developing strategic partnerships, and identifying opportunities to expand TOP Sports’ presence in the market
- Run day-to-day operations across all programs in York Region, including parent and player communication, coach scheduling, permits, facility relationships, apparel, and equipment.
- Own the location P&L;, including registration targets, budgeting, cost control, and monthly reporting
- Build and maintain the systems (registration platforms, communication tools, rosters)
- Manage a staff team of 10-20 part-time coaches, including scheduling, compliance, and payroll

Sport Program Leadership

- Oversee program quality and player development pathways across all three sports, working alongside Technical Directors to keep coaching and curriculum standards consistent with the TOP model.
- Recruit, hire,

train, and manage coaches and program staff across hockey, soccer, lacrosse, and camps
- Manage the competitive and recreational programs in each sport; working with Technical Directors to develop a strong competitive pathway complete with leagues, games, and tournaments.

Community Development

- Be the visible face of TOP Sports in York Region, building relationships at rinks, fields, schools, and community events.
- Build relationships with local schools, sport federations, and community organizations
- Build robust parent and family engagement to ensure we are delivering a world-class experience
- Run local marketing and social media efforts that build TOP's brand presence and reputation as the region's go-to multi-sport club.
- Work with our marketing team to execute specific marketing plans (digital, print, community outreach)
- Track registration data and conversion by program and school of origin, and use it to sharpen where and how the location grows.

What You Bring To The Table

- 3–5+ years of relevant experience in sports management, recreation, operations, hospitality, or another multi-site/service business
- Entrepreneurial Mindset — you take ownership, think strategically, and thrive in a growth-focused, hands-on environment

- Marketing and Community Engagement — you can lead local marketing efforts, social media, and parent relationships to strengthen brand and community presence
- Adaptable and Resourceful — you approach challenges with creativity, flexibility, and a problem-solving mentality

Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive salary of $65,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience, with performance-based compensation tied to the growth and success of the York Region location
