software support, and serves as a hands-on technical resource for both internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electronically inclined, comfortable traveling to customer sites, and able to troubleshoot a wide range of hardware and software issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components, circuit boards, and control systems
- Assemble, wire, and modify CNC machines and related equipment to customer or engineering specifications
- Deliver and install equipment at customer sites, including uncrating, setup, calibration, and testing
- Provide on-site training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Deliver software support, including installation, configuration, updates, and basic troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues in the field and in-shop
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs, answer technical questions, and ensure satisfaction
- Maintain accurate service records, installation reports, and parts/inventory usage logs
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams on equipment modifications, upgrades, and custom builds
- Follow all safety protocols when working with electrical systems, machinery, and on customer sites
- Travel to customer locations as required, including occasional overnight travel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field preferred
- Experience with electronics repair and troubleshooting (circuit boards, wiring, control systems)
- Experience with CNC machine assembly, setup, or modification preferred
- Comfortable delivering hands-on training and explaining technical concepts to non-technical customers
- Basic software support experience (installation, configuration, troubleshooting)
- Knowledge of basic programming (e.g., G-code, PLC, or scripting languages) is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an asset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry mid- to heavy-weight objects and equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs, with assistance for heavier loads)
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work in various positions to access and install equipment
- Ability to work in shop, warehouse, and on-site customer environments
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely
Work Environment
Combination of in-shop work and in office travel to customer facilities. May involve exposure to industrial equipment, tools, and machinery.
Pay: $19.20-$21.00 per hour
