Be part of LifeLabs as a Lab Patient Technician in Orillia, ON. This role focuses on specimen collection and providing outstanding patient service in a part-time, temporary position.

In this Lab Patient Technician role, you will oversee the entire specimen collection process, ensuring patients are well-informed and comfortable. You'll utilize your skills to perform phlebotomies and manage special tests, all while ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld. The position requires flexible availability from Monday to Saturday to support lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:



• Greet patients and provide testing information • Perform blood draws and connect/disconnect monitors • Conduct drug screenings and complete necessary documentation • Build relationships with clients and handle requests • Enter patient demographics accurately in the system

Requirements: • Completion of an approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred • Prior phlebotomy experience is advantageous • Competent in computer usage with a 40 wpm typing capability • Solid patient service skills and empathy • Ability to uphold confidentiality standards
