Contribute to financial excellence in construction as a Project Accountant with Mattina Mechanical Limited in Hamilton, Ontario. Collaborate closely with Project Managers for precise budgeting and reporting throughout project lifecycles.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Finance and Accounting while managing financial performance for multiple construction projects. Your expertise in financial planning, cost control, and analysis will be vital. You'll support timely billing processes and ensure the accuracy of project costs, contributing directly to project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and update project budgets with Project Managers
• Prepare and analyze financial reports monthly and quarterly
• Ensure compliance with contract terms during cost reviews




• Coordinate with teams on billing, including progress draws
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for projects
Requirements:
• 5-7 years of construction accounting experience
• Solid project accounting knowledge, including WIP concepts
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and communication capabilities
• Education in accounting, finance, or related fields
