The company's flagship Morelos Complex in Mexico is one of the country's largest gold-producing operations, complemented by an advanced-stage gold-silver project in Sinaloa and a growing portfolio of exploration and development assets across Mexico and the United States.As the company continues to expand its project portfolio, they are adding a Project Engineer to their growing Studies team. Reporting to the Studies Manager, this position will initially focus on the Los Reyes Project in Sinaloa, Mexico, while also providing technical support to projects across the Morelos Complex as required.This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to play a meaningful role in multidisciplinary mining studies and work directly with leading external engineering consultants. The successful candidate will act as a key technical interface between the company and its consultants, reviewing engineering deliverables, supporting mine design and scenario analysis, and helping ensure studies are delivered to a high technical standard.As the project portfolio progresses from studies through feasibility and execution, this role offers significant chance for increased technical leadership, project ownership, and mentoring responsibilities.What you will achieve in this role:Support the Studies Manager in coordinating and delivering multidisciplinary mining studies across the company's project portfolioServe as the technical lead for assigned study work and ensure project deliverables meet established technical standards and requirementsSupport mine design and review technical work across mining, processing, geotechnical engineering, infrastructure, ventilation, dewatering, and water systemsReview technical information from multiple disciplines to identify inconsistencies, design concerns, and areas requiring additional specialist inputComplete technical evaluations, design modifications, scenario analysis, forecasting, and executive-level presentationsMonitor study progress and proactively identify technical, schedule,
or delivery concerns that could impact project timelinesSupport the development of project execution plans as projects advance through the study and development phasesAct as a primary technical interface between the company and external engineering consultants and specialistsLead and actively participate in consultant meetings related to assigned projectsCommunicate technical expectations, standards, and design requirements to external consultantsReview consultant deliverables for technical quality, engineering accuracy, consistency, and operational practicalityCoordinate technical reviews with internal specialists when work extends beyond the role's area of expertiseWork with consultants to resolve technical issues, quality concerns, and potential project delaysMonitor consultant performance and elevate significant technical or schedule concerns to the Studies ManagerMaintain decision logs, technical query logs, project records, and other study documentationManage project information through SharePoint and ensure documentation remains organized, current, and accessibleApply appropriate document control processes and reporting standards throughout the study processSupport the preparation of technical reports, design documentation, study inputs, and materials required by Qualified PersonsEnsure study materials are accurate, complete, and delivered according to project timelinesCollaborate closely with internal teams across geology, metallurgy, mining, engineering, construction, and technical servicesEnsure appropriate technical specialists are engaged when additional expertise or review is requiredCommunicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersContribute to a collaborative project environment and support the development of future team members as the project portfolio expandsWhat you must bring to this role:Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Process Engineering, or another relevant engineering disciplineProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada or eligibility to obtain an equivalent designation5+ years of progressive engineering experience within the mining industryHands‐on operational experience at a mine site; open‐pit or undergroundmining experience is preferredExperience in project engineering, mining studies, project management, or a related disciplineExperience reviewing or contributing to mine design, mine scheduling, process plant design, or multidisciplinary engineering studiesExposure to geotechnical engineering, ventilation, dewatering, service water systems, infrastructure,
