Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30, or upon agreement with direct supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the coordinator of communications, conceives, creates engaging visual content across print, digital, web, social media, video and emerging communication platforms while ensuring brand consistency and accessibility.

The incumbent is responsible for creating visually compelling graphics that reflect our unique CEGEP that stands on the shores of Lac St-Louis.

As a graphic artist, the incumbent has strong conceptual skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.

Their engaging content will be for a variety of platforms including social media campaigns, digital marketing assets, websites, email marketing graphics, video content, and digital storytelling. The target audiences will vary greatly.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate and apply emerging design technologies and creative tools responsibly. The incumbent is just as comfortable working independently as they are amidst a boisterous team environment working on five or more projects at once, on time and on budget.

Duties And Responsibilities

- Design and update content such as signage and presentations, brochures and corporate publications, multimedia presentations and animations into compelling high-quality projects within an established brand identity.
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams on a wide and varied range of projects that may include visuals for social media, presentations, marketing collateral, signage, internal communications, and more.




- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within the Colleges’ established brand identity.
- Develop concepts by hand or with software and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
- Collaborate with Print Services and external suppliers, draw up technical specifications and ensure quality control for all these projects at every phase.
- Liaise regularly with internal clients (including employees and students), and external suppliers for visual communications and concepts, proposing solutions, troubleshooting and creating original material that supports the desired result.
- Coordinate and train colleagues as required.
- Maintain and organize digital assets, templates and brand resources utilizing shared asset management systems and collaborative platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint (an asset).
- Encourage users to respect the College branding guidelines at every level of Campus life.
- Perform other related tasks.

Qualifications Education To have a diploma of College studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized by the competent authority. A Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Graphic Design and relevant professional experience, preferred.

Specific Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years’





experience in graphic design within the printing domain or related field, preferred
- A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects
- Mastery of Adobe suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Mastery of After Effects (an asset)
- Photography experience and proficiency with photo-editing software (an asset)
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Comfortable working in a Mac setting
- Strong dynamism, autonomy, team spirit and creativity with excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a high production environment
- Strong writing skills with an excellent command of English (advanced oral, comprehension and written) and French (intermediate oral, comprehension and basic written)
- Ability to adapt in a changing environment and stay updated on ever-evolving graphic design software and industry trends
- Willingness to work outside regular working hours for special events.
- Excellent understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Experience coordinating external vendors and subcontractors.
- Exceptional project coordination, organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent assignments and deadlines.
