The Role
Required For the 2026 Municipal Election, the greeter/demonstrator reports to the site supervisor and acts as the first point of contact for the voting place, greeting and directing voters as they enter, and helping where required. One greeter/demonstrator is assigned to each voting place on advance voting days and voting day. Potential hours of work are as follows:
Friday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Monday, October 26 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Successful candidates may be hired to work a maximum of two of the above dates.
Greeter/demonstrators must attend a one-hour training session between September 28 and October 14, 2026. A handbook will be provided at the training that summarizes greeter / demonstrator duties and the procedures to be followed before and during voting day.

Our team coordinates Council meetings, prepares agendas, and delivers essential services like licensing and compliance, ensuring residents can engage confidently with their city.
What You'll Do...
Confirming that voters have their Voter Information Letter and required identification.
Determining whether a voter is in the correct voting place, and if they are not, direct them to their correct voting place.
Providing impartial instruction to voters on how to mark their ballot.
Checking the entrance to the voting place to ensure that voters can access the voting place.
Assisting in the set up and tear down of the voting place

Robust customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem solving skills
High school preferred
Previous Municipal Election Experience Preferred
Additional spoken languages considered an asset
