In this position, you’ll review development applications and assist in streamlining the city’s application processes. You'll prepare essential planning documents, mentor junior staff, and actively contribute to city-building initiatives in a team-focused environment. Your input will guide policies on housing, urban design, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities: • Review and process complex development applications • Prepare bylaws and planning reports for Council • Support policy and guideline development • Negotiate community amenities and development agreements • Present findings to advisory committees and councils
Requirements: • Master’s degree in Urban Planning or equivalent experience • Membership or eligibility with the Canadian Institute of Planners • Experience with complex development applications • Robust team-oriented and negotiation skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
