As a Gymnastics/Trampoline Instructor, you will plan, implement and teach recreational gymnastics and/or trampoline programs to help participants develop their skill base and knowledge in this area. Primary duties include:
- Teach specific gymnastics and/or trampoline skills to participants.
- Develop lesson plans and resources for programs.
- Provide safety expertise for participants.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, supplies and facility space.
- Maintain program records and assist with program evaluation and documentation.
- Provide positive role modelling and give direction to junior leaders and/or volunteers when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age.
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Gymnastics Foundations: Introduction Artistic program (Level 1 or 2)
is required; AND/OR
- National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Gymnastics Foundations: Trampoline (Level 1 or 2) is required.
- Previous leadership and instructional experience in gymnastics and/or trampoline, preferably working with youth, is required.
- Previous training and knowledge of Physical Literacy will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills along with demonstrated initiative, planning, and organizational skills.
- Sound judgment in safety standards and well-developed customer service skills.
Pre-employment Requirements
- A valid Security Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Search must be provided for those over 18 years of age and a valid Police Information Check must be provided for those under 18 years of age. Date of completion must be within the last 12 months.
- Current Intermediate First Aid certification (equivalent to Standard First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) level "C", and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is required.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
- Applicants may be contacted, interviewed, and hired throughout the duration of this competition.

- Position Type: Up to 2 On-Call positions
- Compensation: $19.93 - 25.17 per hour
- Hours of work: On-Call hours will vary based on operational requirements.
- Days of work: This position works various shifts, including daytime, evenings, and weekends.
