PART-TIME HANDYMAN / JACK OF ALL TRADES

Shews Contracting is looking for a reliable, experienced handyman to join our growing team on a part-time basis, with the potential for additional hours as work increases.

This position is ideal for a semi-retired tradesperson or someone who enjoys staying active, solving problems, and working with their hands.

We are not looking for a Red Seal tradesperson. We’re looking for someone with a broad range of practical skills who can confidently tackle a variety of maintenance, repair, and renovation tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing

General repairs and maintenance

Basic carpentry

Drywall repairs and patching

Painting and touch-ups

Minor plumbing repairs

Minor electrical work (within regulations)

Door, lock, and hardware repairs

Property maintenance and odd jobs

Assisting with small renovation projects

What We’re Looking For





Experience in multiple trades or maintenance roles

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently

Qualified and respectful attitude with clients

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to travel throughout the South Vancouver Island area
