Drive impactful community development as an Administrative Assistant for the Economic Development Department at Whitefish River First Nation. This full-time position combines administrative duties and bookkeeping tasks.
In this one-year term role, you’ll leverage your strong organizational and bookkeeping skills. You will focus on supporting the Economic Development team while managing financial records, organizing filing systems, and coordinating community events. Your expertise will help foster sustainable economic growth within the Whitefish River community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule meetings and take minutes for the Economic Development team • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software • Organize and execute community events and workshops • Process payments, invoices, and payroll efficiently • Assist with grant applications and related financial reporting
Requirements: • Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration • At least 2 years' experience in bookkeeping and admin • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Robust time-management and communication skills • Understanding of Indigenous governance is a plus
