Located in Victoria, British Columbia, SMUS seeks a dedicated Grounds Worker to join our Maintenance team. Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor, you will care for our gardens and outdoor spaces using best practices in horticulture. The work is physically challenging and performed outdoors regardless of the season, ensuring our campus is protected and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain gardens, landscapes, lawns, and outdoor spaces
• Plant, prune, and sustain trees and shrubs
• Conduct lawn care, including aeration and overseeding
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment
• Perform seasonal garden tasks, including mulching and weeding
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Horticulture
• At least two years of landscaping experience
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and pest management
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely
• Strong interpersonal skills
