We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team and support our construction projects throughout the Kitchener Waterloo and GTA areas.

Reporting to the Safety and Operations Manager, this position will help implement and continuously improve VanMar’s Health & Safety Management System while working closely with our project and site teams.

What You’ll Do

- Conduct site inspections and support compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies
- Support the development and maintenance of safety policies, procedures, project plans, and documentation
- Coordinate employee training, certifications, and safety communications
- Support incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and WSIB requirements
- Support COR® certification, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with site teams to identify hazards, address concerns, and promote a positive safety culture





What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of occupational health and safety experience, with construction experience strongly preferred
- College diploma or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
- NCSO designation or currently working toward it
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and O. Reg. 213/91 Construction Projects
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, Standard First Aid with CPR, and Health & Safety Awareness Training
- Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel between project sites
- COR®, WSIB, ISNetworld, Avetta, CRSP, or CHSC experience considered an asset
