In this role with Hatch, you'll apply your extensive geotechnical knowledge to manage projects related to tailings management. You'll conduct in-depth analyses on geotechnical issues, providing key insights that drive safety and sustainability in mining. Working closely with a team of experts, you'll prepare comprehensive studies and ensure smooth project execution, reporting to the Tailings Practice Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design projects for tailings storage facilities • Review and prepare engineering specifications and reports • Solve complex geotechnical problems and provide technical support • Initiate and oversee field investigations for project data • Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field • 12+ years of experience in geotechnical roles • Professional engineering license in Ontario • Mastery of geotechnical modeling software • Solid verbal and written communication skills
