About the role: We’re actively searching for a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to join the Côté Gold team, with a start date to be determined, reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. This role focuses on safely repairing, troubleshooting, overhauling, and maintaining heavy-duty mobile equipment while collaborating with planning teams to execute scheduled work.
In this role, you directly support IMG’s purpose by ensuring critical equipment reliability and safe operations. Your work helps maintain productivity, minimize downtime, and enable efficient mining and milling processes that drive operational excellence and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Safely inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and maintain heavy-duty mobile equipment across mining and milling operations to ensure reliability and performance.
- Diagnose faults using computerized tools and testing equipment; complete repairs and validate against manufacturer specifications.
- Perform adjustments, component replacements, and routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and servicing of attachments and tools.
- Operate equipment safely and ensure all work aligns with company health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Commit to continuous learning, skill development, and proactive identification of inefficiencies or improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, share knowledge, and deliver solutions considering safety, quality, cost, throughput, and sustainability.
- Coordinate with onsite teams to meet shift objectives, maintain accurate logs, and communicate equipment conditions and deficiencies effectively.
- Support team success by mentoring peers, contributing technical expertise, and participating in multidisciplinary efforts to drive operational excellence and reliability.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
- A valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician certification is required.
- Candidates holding a 310T certification with equivalent heavy equipment experience will also be considered.
Relevant Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Previous experience in open pit mining is considered an asset.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:
- Proficient with computer applications and maintenance software, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure.
- Holds a valid Ontario driver’s license; demonstrates reliability, adaptability, and sound judgment in dynamic work environments.
- Knowledge of CAT systems (SIS, ET, HIS) and experience with MineStar are considered strong assets.

Salary Range: $114,000-$131,000 + bonus.
