Overview: We are seeking a skilled HD Mechanic to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta and Whitecourt, Alberta. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various trucks, trailers and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to the success of our company.

PAY: $35 - $60

Compensation can be negotiated based on experience and qualifications

Overtime opportunities available when operational demands require

Duties:

- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various trucks and other equipment




- Use power tools and hand tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair power train and specialty trailer components.
- Experience on engine builds is considered an asset
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Perform diagnostics using specialized equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to safety, to yourself and colleagues
- Must be self motivated, work well with minimum supervision
- Must be available 24/7 when on call
- Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs and overtime

Qualifications:

- Journeyman HD Mechanic ticket or 3rd/4th year apprenticeship
- Strong knowledge of maintenance and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Familiarity with electrical , diagnostics and hydraulic systems
- Experience working with Kenworth and Peterbuilt equipment such as winch truck, boom truck and bed trucks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00-$60.00 per hour
