Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Journeyman Mechanic (or 4th year Apprentice) to join our maintenance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Avenge has projects throughout Alberta, and this role repairs our trucks both in the shop and out on client sites. Experience working on fluid hauling and vac trucks is an asset. This is a high volume, fast paced environment for someone who thrives working both independently and as part of a team.

This is an on-site position, based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta.

We also have Mechanic Opportunities in Peace River and Fort Saskatchewan!

No remote or hybrid arrangements are available. Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or hold Permanent Resident status.

Heavy Equipment Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient repair of the equipment for various applications. Service Truck and Project work opportunities may be available in the future.

What You'll Do

- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all policies and processes and acting safely at all times
- Ensure all equipment is properly secured prior to work or repairs (for example, using chock blocks and jack stands)
- Correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment; Hydrovac and combo unit repair experience is required
- Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs
- Perform routine and specific maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment,



including light and heavy duty vehicles
- Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts
- Fit and adjust recent or repaired parts
- Perform supervised CVIP repairs as assigned
- Complete and submit all associated electronic documentation to track Preventative Maintenance schedules
- Keep the shop area clean, tidy, and free of hazards at all times

What You Bring

- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (or 4th year Apprentice) (required)
- 2+ years of experience working as a service mechanic (required)
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean 5 year commercial driver's abstract (required)
- Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license (asset)
- CVIP experience and certification (asset)
- Fabrication and welding experience (asset)
- Vac Truck experience appreciate
- Ability to use app based electronic maintenance programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
