We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery (telehandlers, manlifts, excavators and dozers primarily) and semi trucks. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability, supporting our commitment to operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting and electrical experience, will take initiative and be skilled at sourcing and comparing pricing on parts, they will be able to collaborate effectively with team members and managers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty equipment and trucks
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals,
and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately using company programs
Experience
- Experience working on lift equipment (AWP's) and material handling equipment
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or in heavy equipment
- Solid mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues using analysis skills and technical expertise.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial maintenance operations is essential.
