CiviCorp Excavation Inc. is a growing civil construction contractor specializing in excavation, earthworks, and site development across Nova Scotia. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field crews and help keep daily site operations running safely and efficiently.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and dozers safely and efficiently on civil construction sites.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings, crews, and site conditions at all times.
- Coordinate with the Foreman and ground crew using hand and radio signals.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience.




- Class 5 valid driver's licence.
- Strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform repetitive tasks.
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to work as part of a crew.
- Heavy Equipment Operator certification is an asset.
