Join the Melfort Curling Club as an Ice Maker for the 2026/27 season. This part time, seasonal position pays monthly compensation of $3,000-$3,500 and requires flexibility and reliability.
The Melfort and District Curling Club is hiring an Ice Technician to create and maintain optimal curling conditions in a six-sheet facility. With duties that include managing ice integrity for various events, candidates will have the opportunity to attend funded technician courses. A strong attention to detail and physical capability are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, and remove curling ice • Flood, pebble,
and scrape the ice as needed • Monitor and maintain ice conditions across sheets • Prepare ice for all leagues and events • Communicate with the Club Manager regarding conditions
Requirements: • Interest or participation in curling as an asset • Previous ice technician experience preferred • Willingness to take technician courses funded by the Club • Able to work independently and handle physical tasks • Clean Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check
