The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized care for adolescents with neuro-oncology needs. This temporary part time role focuses on comprehensive treatment and multidisciplinary collaboration.
In this position, you will support AYA patients with complex CNS tumors by managing their care plans and collaborating with various healthcare teams. Your role will encompass both independent assessments and teamwork to ensure superior patient care and compliance with treatment protocols.
Key Responsibilities: • Administer select treatments and follow-ups for patients • Enable smooth transitions between care teams • Conduct symptom management and treatment planning visits • Assist in palliative care integration and family support • Apply evidence-based approaches to patient education
Requirements: • Must possess active NP registration in Ontario • Master’s degree in nursing required • Minimum of five years in relevant settings • Experience in neuro-oncology strongly preferred • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support essential
