We are currently seeking a dependable, compassionate Russian-speaking Home Support Worker to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, building meaningful relationships, and supporting clients in maintaining their independence and quality of life at home and in the community.

What You'll Do

As a Home Support Worker, you'll provide practical and compassionate assistance to clients in their homes and in the community. Responsibilities may include:

- Providing companionship and meaningful social engagement
- Assisting clients with household tasks and maintaining a clean, comfortable home environment
- Preparing meals and assisting with meal planning
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments, errands, shopping, and community outings
- Providing transportation to appointments and activities when required
- Assisting clients with maintaining routines and participating in daily activities
- Providing medication reminders as directed
- Supporting safe mobility and accompanying clients when walking or participating in activities
- Observing and reporting changes in a client's well-being to the care team
- Communicating respectfully and professionally with clients, families, and care coordinators
- Completing required documentation accurately
- Maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive care environment

Required Qualifications To be considered, applicants must have:

- Fluent spoken Russian and strong spoken and written English skills. The ability to communicate clearly with Russian-speaking clients and their families is essential.




- Previous experience providing home support, caregiving, companionship, or personal support to older adults or individuals requiring assistance is an asset.
- A valid Manitoba driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle. This position requires travel to client homes throughout Winnipeg and transportation of clients to appointments, errands, and community activities when required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- A professional, dependable, patient, and compassionate approach to client care.
- The ability to work independently while following care plans and communicating effectively with the care team.

Fluency in Russian, a valid driver's licence, and access to a reliable vehicle are essential for this position.
