JPosition Summary A Host/Hostess/Expo is responsible for managing the flow of guests and food service in a restaurant. This role ensures guests are welcomed, seated efficiently, and that communication between the front-of-house and kitchen runs smoothly.

Key ResponsibilitiesHost / Hostess Duties

- Greet guests promptly in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage reservations and waitlists
- Seat guests according to server sections and rotation
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized front entrance
- Provide menus and explain daily specials if needed

Expo (Expeditor) Duties

- Act as the communication link between kitchen and serving staff
- Ensure food orders are accurate, complete, and properly presented
- Organize and prioritize tickets during busy service
- Coordinate timing so all dishes for a table are served together
- Garnish and check plates before they leave the kitchen




- Assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and efficiency
- Run food to the table if the servers are busy

Qualifications

Pay: $17.60 per hour
