Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly, upbeat demeanor and assist with seating arrangements to maximize flow and comfort
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Answer guest inquiries promptly, providing accurate information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth seating transitions and timely service
- Maintain cleanliness of the host stand area and ensure all greeting stations are organized and inviting
- Support food handling and meal preparation tasks as needed to assist kitchen staff during busy periods
- Handle cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately when processing reservations or payments
Skills
- Proven food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality workplace
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Experience with restaurant operations, including serving, food preparation, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash register platforms
- Knowledge of hotel or hospitality industry practices is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
- Excellent cleaning habits to uphold hygiene standards in all areas of guest interaction
- Barista experience or familiarity with beverage service is advantageous
- Strong understanding of food handling safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Effective cash handling skills combined with attention to detail in cashiering tasks
- Good communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with team members and guests
