What You’ll Bring to the Guest Experience

As a Host, you are the first smile, the guide to the room, and the foundation of the Nisi atmosphere.

Guest Connection & Hospitality

- Welcome every guest with immediate warmth, confidence, and genuine care
- Create personal connections through authentic conversation and thoughtful first impressions
- Learn regular guests’ names, preferred tables, and special requests
- Recognize birthdays, anniversaries, and celebration moments
- Anticipate guest needs before they ask, including accessibility, patio preferences, or family seating
- Maintain a polished, calm, and inviting presence at the host stand
- Create memorable arrival and departure experiences that encourage return visits

Flow, Reservations & Room Experience

- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists with confidence and precision
- Guide guests through table options, patio seating,



and wait times with warmth
- Maintain fair and strategic seating rotation to support service flow
- Communicate closely with servers, bartenders, and management on pacing
- Help shape the energy of the room through thoughtful guest placement
- Support large parties, VIP reservations, and waterfront patio experiences
- Provide accurate timing and smooth transitions during peak periods

Operational Excellence

- Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready host stand
- Manage menus, reservation notes, and floor plans with attention to detail
- Update the waitlist and guest communications accurately
- Coordinate table readiness with support and service teams
- Assist with menu counts, lost & found, and entrance presentation
- Support opening and closing host procedures
- Ensure guests are thanked sincerely and invited back warmly

Atmosphere & Team Energy

- Create an elevated and welcoming first impression every shift
- Keep energy calm, confident, and positive during busy rushes
- Support servers, bartenders, and management with guest flow
- Help maintain the rhythm of the dining room and patio
- Be flexible in supporting FOH needs beyond the host stand when required

Qualifications

- Previous hosting, restaurant, or guest service experience preferred
- Experience with reservation or POS platforms such as Clover POS or similar is an asset
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours)
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for hospitality, team culture, and guest care
