Job Requirements

Language: English

Education: Previous education or training related to hospitality or housekeeping is an asset but not required.

Experience: Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or hotel experience is an asset but not required. Training will be provided to suitable candidates.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position involves working in a fast-paced hotel environment. Applicants should be comfortable with:

- Standing for extended periods
- Bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Repetitive tasks
- Working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- Performing physically demanding duties
- Handling and lifting items weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs.)
- Maintaining strong attention to detail

Duties & Responsibilities




- Complete housekeeping duties assigned by the Housekeeping Department using the required keys, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel cleanliness standards.
- Make beds and change bed linens.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Dust and clean furniture and room surfaces.
- Clean, disinfect, and polish bathroom and kitchen fixtures and appliances.
- Replenish guest-room supplies, including coffee, toiletries, towels, and other amenities.
- Pick up debris and empty waste and recycling containers.
- Respond to guest requests for additional supplies or other housekeeping items.
- Provide guests with basic information about hotel facilities and services.
- Handle and report lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures.
- Report damages, malfunctions, safety concerns, and maintenance or repair requirements to the Supervisor.
- Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, or complaints and refer matters to a Supervisor when appropriate.
- Follow hotel health, safety, cleanliness, and security procedures.
