Join our energetic team as a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Idlewyld Inn and spa and lead the charge in maintaining a pristine, welcoming environment for our guests and staff. We have 21 rooms, dining room, spa and public areas. In this vital role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, supervise housekeeping staff, and ensure that cleanliness standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the property, room and public areas.
- Work with the team, cleaning rooms and all public areas.
- Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to verify cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols
- Schedule staff shifts, assign duties, and monitor performance to optimize team productivity




- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
- Address guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally
- Enforce health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and sanitation procedures

Skills

- Proven custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, inventories, and inspections effectively
- Clear communication abilities for training staff and interacting with guests or management
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to custodial work and chemical handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
