We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. The HRBP will be responsible for human resources support to leadership and staff in the areas of Health & Safety, WSIB/WI claims management, employee relations, investigations, recruitment, attendance management, training and policy development/projects.

Position Responsibilities:

- Employee relations: is primary contact person for salaried, hourly and leadership team. Advises on policies/procedures, including performance management. Conducts investigations and makes recommendations on resolution and level of discipline as required.
- Responsible for attendance management program; determines level of non-disciplinary or disciplinary letters, coaching Leaders and provides quarterly updates and annual summary to management.
- Participates in policy development/revisions and training.




- Responsible for H&S; legislative compliance for our Seating Division and Management representative for the JHSC.
- MOL contact related to safety concerns.
- Actively manages all WSIB claims (including completion of Form 7’s). Liaises with WSIB adjudicators, return to work specialists, doctors, employees and provides regular updates to management. Establishes modified work programs to ensure a safe and earliest return to work. Prepares a bi-weekly spreadsheet of claims for payroll purposes. Highlight and concerns to the HR Manager.
- Tracks and analyses accident trends and makes recommendation to management in an effort to reduce these types of injuries.
- Manages all Weekly Indemnity and Short Term and Long-Term Disability claims.
- Responsible for hourly, administrative and professional full cycle recruiting.
- Onboarding as well as required safety training in the absence of the HR and HS Coordinator. Partners with HR/H&S; Manager, HRG and HR Coordinator on various HR and Health & Safety initiatives, compliance and training.
- Responsible for maintaining ISO records in accordance with our Competency Training & Awareness Procedure.




- Performs all responsibilities/services in accordance with company Quality Assurance procedures.
- Avanti, HRIS and adhoc projects as required.
- Support all facilities in the absence of HR and HS Manager and Manitou HRG.

Requirements:

- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline is required.
- CHRP or CHRL Designation.
- JHSC Certification is required.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a business partner role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in WSIB & Disability claims management and employee relations.
- Previous experience and strong Health & Safety knowledge of legislative requirements.
- Exceptional communication and organization skills.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Word and Excel primarily. PowerPoint an asset. This position is full time on-site at our Seating division in Kitchener.
