Telecon is seeking an energetic, career-minded professional to join our growing team as a Bilingual Human Resources Business Partner. This full-time position is primarily remote with only 1–2 days per week required in our office located in Carp. This position requires the candidate to be bilingual in French and English in order to assist a group of French and English speaking clients. This skill is required on a daily basis and involves the ability to read, write, and speak in both languages.
The Bilingual Human Resources Business
Partner provides support for all human resources-related issues within their assigned client group, with a focus on labour and employee relations. The successful candidate will work closely with Operational business unit leaders and act as an ambassador of Telecon's values and a change agent in collaboration with the business. The expected annual salary for this position is in the range of $85,000–$95,000, based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity.
Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to Leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) while ensuring full compliance with the Collective Agreements where applicable.
Manage employee relations issues, which involves conducting investigations, making recommendations to managers, and helping them resolve issues.
Report on key metrics and data, including headcount, turnover, and recruitment, and prepare ad hoc reports.
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Manage leave and return-to-work programs.
Maintain an effective level of knowledge of the business unit's financial situation, culture, and competition.
Maintain a thorough understanding of legal requirements related to day-to-day employee management, legal risk mitigation,
and regulatory compliance.
Serve as a trusted advisor to the company on labor law, industrial relations, and collective bargaining agreements, as applicable.
Undertake other special projects as required. THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THESE SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in human resources, with a focus on Labour and Employee relations.
Experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry is an asset.
