Make an Impact Across Lanark County The Lanark Community Alliance (LCA) is a partnership of community-based organizations providing community support, developmental services, seniors housing, and other services to individuals and families throughout Lanark County.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist with at least 3+ years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or equivalent experience to provide hands-on support to managers and employees. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, you will independently support assigned client groups across employee and labour relations, workplace investigations, attendance and disability management, recruitment, performance management, and other HR initiatives.

As part of the LCA Human Resources team, you may support:

- Tayside Community Options

This role is well suited to a self-directed and approachable HR professional who enjoys variety, builds strong relationships, and is confident providing practical guidance through challenging or sensitive workplace matters.

What You'll Do

As the primary HR contact for assigned client groups, you will:

- Advise and coach managers on employee and labour relations, including attendance, performance concerns, workplace conflict, accommodations, employee engagement, and documentation.
- Lead workplace investigations involving employee concerns, client complaints, workplace conflict, policy violations, and other organizational matters, from interviews and evidence review through findings and follow-up.




- Support disciplinary processes and grievance administration and promote consistent application of collective agreements, policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Support attendance, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work processes in collaboration with managers and external providers.
- Coach managers through performance expectations, probationary reviews, performance improvement plans, employee development, and other people-management matters.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, and accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Participate in workforce planning, change management, organizational projects, and continuous improvement of HR programs and processes.
- Independently manage day-to-day HR matters while recognizing when complex or higher-risk issues require escalation to the Manager of Human Resources.

What You Bring

Required

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or comparable broad-based HR role.
- Experience supporting employee relations, attendance management, recruitment, and performance management.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations.




- Working knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreements, and labour relations principles.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively coach and support managers.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid written and verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A clear Criminal Record Check obtained within the last three months.

Assets

- CHRP designation or currently working toward the designation.
- HR experience in a unionized environment.
- Formal training in workplace investigations.

Where You'll Work This is an in-person position based in Lanark County, with the majority of time spent supporting operations in Perth and Almonte. Candidates must be willing and able to travel to various locations throughout Lanark County as required.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
