HVAC Technician – Ottawa, Ontario

About The Role

1Click Energy Solutions is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Ottawa. This position is ideal for a hands-on technician who is comfortable working in residential environments and has experience with service, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

You will work on a variety of HVAC equipment, with a strong focus on residential heating and cooling systems and heat pumps.

Responsibilities

- Perform residential HVAC service, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and maintenance
- Install and commission heat pump-based heating and cooling equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC system issues
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
- Diagnose equipment performance issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Complete installations according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes
- Maintain accurate service and installation documentation




- Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide clear explanations of work completed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices

Requirements

- G2 Gas Technician certification – required
- 313D Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic – preferred
- Previous residential HVAC service and installation experience
- Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Comfortable working independently in customers' homes
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment
