As a part of the Dental Hygiene team, you will play a critical role in promoting and maintaining oral health for patients through preventive dental care and education. Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Current registration and licensure to practice as a Dental Hygienist in Canada.
- Proficiency in periodontal charting and dental radiography.
- Knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive periodontal charting to evaluate gum health and identify potential issues.
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Take and process dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
- Work independently to manage patient appointments and maintain accurate clinical records.
