What is the opportunityRBC Thought Leadership aims to catalyze a more ambitious Canadian approach to AI and disruptive technologies by harnessing ideas, insights and data to help RBC clients and communities understand the forces shaping the world around us.Job DescriptionOur team of researchers and strategists deliver economic analyses, comprehensive reports and conversations with world-leading thinkers that inspire and empower informed decisions in a fast-moving and evolving world.We aim to inform, engage and inspire action via the following channels:In-depth research reports on innovation and technology, geopolitical shifts, energy and climate change, human capital and other key topicsTimely analysis and forecasts of the economy and financial marketsDaily and monthly newsletters on climate change, housing trends geopolitical shiftsAn ongoing series of conversations via roundtables, breakfasts and other forum events with leading thinkers about reimagining Canada's economyAn award-winning tech and innovation Podcast that has surpassed 2 million downloads and consistently charts in the top 10 for business and techWhat will you doLead tech research, policy analysis and insights by engaging, industry groups, governments, clients and other key stakeholdersProvide strategic guidance and briefing material on AI/technology-related opportunities, trends, regulation, Canada's competitiveness, risks, emerging technology etc.Serve as a thought leader on AI policy matters at conferences, seminars, and industry events.Source new ideas and guests for the RBC Disruptors podcast.Leverage partnerships and in-house events to engage key stakeholdersStay abreast of emerging AI technologies, trends,



and regulations to anticipate potential impacts on business operationsWork strategically with key internal RBC partners and collaborate with cross functional teamsWhat do you need to succeed: Must-haveMinimum 10 years of experience in tech policy development, technology innovation, or related areasIn depth understanding of AI, tech disruption, regulations, policy issuesStrong skills and experience building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholdersAbility to work across multiple internal teams and seek alignment across key prioritiesHighly adaptable with the ability to prioritize competing requests in a fast-paced environmentAble to embrace change and to demonstrate diplomacy, professionalism and a positive attitudeDigital and social media savvy, with a robust grasp on the evolving digital media trendsAbility to confidently provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and possess the ability to educate and influence others on communications best practices.Nice-to-haveMBA or master's degree in public policy, technology or innovationConsulting experienceAbility to meet consistently high standards of quality while handling a variety of projects and deadlines simultaneouslyWhat's in it for youWe thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
