We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable local tutors to support two students, in person, with their Alberta Curriculum based online schooling. You will be expected to be available from 9 AM - 12 PM, two days per week, in North East Calgary. We are looking for one tutor who can support the students with all three levels of High School English (10-1, 20-1, and 30-1), and one tutor who can support the students with all three levels of High School Math (10C, 20-1, and 30-1).

The ideal candidate will care about their student's progress and help them gain confidence in their abilities. You will not only be a tutor, you will be a mentor and develop positive relationships with parents and students.

Qualifications:

- 1+ Years University/College (preferred)
- Knowledge of the Alberta curriculum (preferred)
- Must live in Calgary, AB Canada at time of applying
- Fluent in English (other language abilities a plus)
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license

Requirements:

- Availability: 9 AM - 12 PM, 2 days per week: 6 total weekly hours.
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.
- Must complete criminal background check/vulnerability screening




- Familiar with the Alberta CBE curriculum
- Living in Airdrie or North East Calgary

Responsibilities

- Conduct engaging in person tutoring sessions for high school students (one in Grade 10, one in Grade 12)
- Develop personalized lesson plans that cater to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance language skills.
- Utilize effective communication skills to facilitate understanding.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student achievements and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on educational resources and methodologies to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
