Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking using hand tools and power tools
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials as needed during the painting process
- Apply primers, paints, and coatings accurately using spray guns, following specified procedures
- Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure quality standards are met, including checking for proper coverage and adhesion
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting within a manufacturing or mechanical setting
- Ability to read technical drawings or specifications related to coating applications
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
