We are currently seeking an industrial or mechanical draftsman to join our team to design electrical heating elements for a variety of industries such as the energy sector, power plants, plastics, rubber and mold making, oil and chemical industries. The candidate will work alongside the engineer and the production staff to create the drawings for the heaters and all manufactured components. In office training will be given.

Responsibilities for this position include providing mechanical and electrical drawings to meet customer orders and specifications. The ideal candidate will play an active role within the company in the research and design of electrical heating elements and components. This position requires a hands-on approach with close attention to detail.

Primary duties

· Produce 2D and 3D drawings of electrical heating elements as per customer specifications

· Produce detailed drawings with required information for production and assembly purposes

· Ensure drawings are compliant with customer specifications

· Identify and communicate potential design problems

Qualifications and competencies

· DEC / AEC / DEP Industrial Designer or draftsman

· 5 years experience

· Knowledge of creating 2D, 3D and assembly drawings with SolidWorks software





· Strong computing skills, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office suite

· Ability to work independently and support employees with proper information with a strong approach to team work

· Effective time management skills to maintain schedules

· Good written and oral skills in English is a MUST

· Detail oriented, professional attitude, punctual and reliable

Tri-Volt Industries is a growing manufacture of electrical heating elements in St-Leonard. The office hours are from 7:30 – 5:00 pm and half day on Friday from 7:30 – 11:30. The candidate will receive training on tasks required, products, company procedures and policies in order to guarantee a successful employment.
