Moncton Hospital is a 386-bed tertiary and critical care facility serving communities in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and northern Nova Scotia. It is a level 2 provincial referral trauma center and the principal HIV referral center for New Brunswick.
Responsibilities
- Daily inpatient rounds
- Inpatient consultations
- Hospital-based clinics
- Office hours
- Involvement in teaching residents and medical students
- Participation in NCIC affiliated activities and research opportunities
Qualifications
- Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine (or equivalent). Foreign graduates meeting licensure requirements in New Brunswick are considered.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
- Advanced written and spoken competence in English; bilingual skills are an asset.

- $50,000 Return of Service Recruitment Incentive with a 2‑year Return of Service.
- Opportunity to teach with the Family Medicine Residency Training Program and faculty appointment at Dalhousie Medical School.
Remuneration
Standard remuneration is fee‑for‑service with direct compensation between the physician and Medicare of New Brunswick. No source deductions are provided. A salaried model may be available under special circumstances with approval from the Department of Health of New Brunswick.
