Information Security Analyst II

Position Overview

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst II to join an enterprise security team on a short-term contract. The successful candidate will provide technical support and expertise across information security processes, with a primary focus on certificate lifecycle management and application security.

This role offers an opportunity to work within a cooperative security environment, contribute to ongoing security initiatives, and gain exposure to enterprise-level security technologies and processes.

Assignment Details

- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Extension: Potential extension based on business requirements and performance
- Conversion: Potential opportunity based on business requirements and performance
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, core business hours
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week / 7.5 hours per day
- Overtime: May be required depending on business needs
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with a combination of in-office and remote work
- Rate: $40-53/hour incorporated

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical expertise in the development, maintenance, and support of information security processes, procedures, tools, and controls.
- Support certificate lifecycle management activities across the enterprise.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of application security practices and solutions.
- Research, assess, and recommend security technologies and solutions.
- Participate in the evaluation of new and proposed security systems and technologies.
- Support security testing activities and help ensure security controls and plans are effectively implemented.
- Investigate and resolve security-related requests and incidents within established service levels.




- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to security activities.
- Manage multiple priorities while ensuring work is completed within established SLAs and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience in information security, IT operations, or a related technical environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow for ticket and request management.
- Basic understanding of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and digital certificates.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks and deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience working with Venafi or similar certificate management platforms.
- Previous experience within a banking, financial services, or other highly regulated enterprise environment.
- Enterprise or corporate customer service experience.
- Familiarity with application security concepts and practices.

Work Environment The successful candidate will join a small, collaborative security team and interact with both internal teams and external stakeholders. The position involves a moderate level of meetings and collaboration, while also requiring strong independent task management.

Performance will be evaluated based on adherence to established SLAs, accuracy, quality of work, responsiveness, and ability to effectively manage assigned responsibilities.
