As a consultant surgeon at NHS GGC, you’ll work out of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, operating within a region with a significant patient population. The role involves a mix of surgical intervention and outpatient services, alongside essential teaching duties for junior medical professionals. You will have the opportunity to enhance patient care through multidisciplinary collaboration and participation in the National Vascular Registry.

Key Responsibilities:



• Perform complex open and endovascular surgeries • Support outpatient clinics and manage day surgery activities • Instruct and evaluate junior staff within the medical team • Maintain records for the National Vascular Registry • Take part in the On Call rota to provide emergency cover

Requirements: • Full GMC registration and eligibility for Specialist Register • Higher Specialist Training with CCT or equivalent • Flexibility for part time work arrangements • Proven experience in vascular surgical training • Dedication to student and staff teaching
