About the role

AskCruz is an AI operating system for industrial and distribution businesses. We're hiring an inside sales rep to run outbound and inbound pipeline, targeting operations and sales leaders at building materials, steel, and industrial distribution companies. You'll own the full cycle from first touch to qualified handoff (or close, depending on deal size), speaking directly to the operational pain points this industry actually has — not generic SaaS pitches.

What you'll do

- Run outbound prospecting into building materials / steel / industrial distribution accounts (calls, email, LinkedIn)
- Qualify inbound leads and run discovery calls that get to real operational pain (quoting delays, ERP gaps, manual workflows)
- Own pipeline hygiene in CRM — accurate stage, next steps, forecasted close
- Work closely with founder/leadership on deal strategy for larger accounts
- Hit weekly/monthly activity and pipeline targets

What we're looking for





- 2+ years inside sales, ideally in building materials, steel, industrial supply, or adjacent distribution/manufacturing sectors
- Comfortable talking to ops managers, plant managers, or sales leaders in their own language — you don't need to be taught what a service center or a quote-to-order cycle is
- Track record of hitting outbound activity and pipeline targets, not just managing inbound
- Solid written and verbal communication — you'll be doing a lot of cold and warm outreach
- Comfortable with a fast-moving, early-stage environment (no playbook handed to you — you help build it)

Nice to have

- Experience selling software/SaaS into industrial buyers
- Familiarity with ERP or quoting systems used in distribution

Compensation

- Base + commission, structured around pipeline generated and closed revenue.
