The Opportunity

As an Interior Design Coordinator, you’ll support the design team throughout the project lifecycle—from concept development and material selection to documentation, scheduling, procurement, and installation coordination.

You’ll work with designers, clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to keep projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with the design vision.

Key Responsibilities

- Support interior design projects from concept development through completion
- Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, meetings, and follow-up activities
- Assist with developing design concepts, mood boards, presentations, and material palettes
- Research and source furniture, fixtures, finishes, fabrics, accessories, and other design elements
- Prepare and organize design presentations, specifications, samples, and project documentation
- Maintain accurate project files, product information, specifications, and finish schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, installers, and other project partners
- Request and track quotes, samples, lead times, orders, and deliveries
- Monitor procurement activities and communicate potential delays or issues
- Assist with site visits, measurements, installations, and project inspections as required
- Help ensure materials, furnishings, and finishes align with approved design concepts and specifications




- Track project budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and related documentation
- Communicate project updates clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Assist with resolving design, product, scheduling, and delivery issues
- Maintain awareness of current interior design trends, materials, products, and industry developments
- Contribute creative ideas that enhance the overall client experience and project outcomes

What We’re Looking For

- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Decorating, Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Previous experience in interior design, design coordination, project coordination, or a related environment is an asset
- Strong eye for colour, proportion, materials, composition, and visual detail
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design presentation tools
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong product research, sourcing, and vendor coordination skills
- Professional and client-focused approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a creative team
