Rolmaster Conveyors is seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our team in Cambridge, Ontario. In this role, you will design and develop complex mechanical systems and components for a wide range of material handling applications.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with both engineering and manufacturing teams. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, practical designs that support both standard product lines and large-scale custom projects.

Salary, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday Flex Hours - 7:30 am to 5:00 pm)

Employees must have mechanical aptitude and must be located in Canada.

Required Qualifications

- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent in mechanical design or engineering
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency in:
- SolidWorks (2020 or newer)
- SolidWorks PDM (2020 or newer)
- 2D CAD
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be located in Canada

Key Responsibilities:

- Create 3D models of components and assemblies




- Prepare and check fabrication drawings using SolidWorks
- Issue drawings and documentation in accordance with production schedules
- Perform engineering calculations (e.g., force, torque, horsepower)
- Requisition materials as required
- Assist in determining optimal conveyance solutions
- Communicate ideas clearly with team members and customers
- Ensure deadlines and project requirements are met
- Follow all company standards, policies, and procedures

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
