Role Description As an Intermediate Software Engineer at Somi AI, you will design, implement, and maintain back-end services and APIs that power our AI-driven products. You will write clean, efficient, and testable code, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing systems.

Typical responsibilities include collaborating with product and research teams, integrating AI models into production environments, troubleshooting and optimizing performance, and improving reliability and scalability. This is a full-time remote role, requiring effective communication, ownership of deliverables, and the ability to work asynchronously with a distributed team.

Qualifications





- Solid foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, Go, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to apply OOP concepts in production-grade systems.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Comfort working in a remote, distributed environment, with explicit written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest in AI, machine learning, or intelligent systems and willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.
