Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team and drive excellence in supply chain management. In this pivotal role, you will oversee inventory levels, optimize warehouse distribution, and ensure seamless order fulfillment across multiple channels including retail and e-commerce platforms. Your expertise in analytics, demand planning, and materials management will enable us to maintain accurate stock levels, improve processes, and support our growth objectives.

Duties

- Manage inventory accuracy through rigorous data collection, analysis, and reconciliation using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400.
- Coordinate demand planning activities by analyzing sales trends, forecasting future needs, and collaborating with procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Utilize data mining and visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI to identify discrepancies, forecast demand fluctuations, and support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee warehouse distribution operations, including order fulfillment, materials management, and the coordination of third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain workflows, implementing best practices in procurement, sourcing, and retail merchandising to boost efficiency.




- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms for sourcing materials while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor inventory movement within warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or SAP, ensuring compliance with safety standards including forklift operation where applicable.

Experience

- Proven experience in supply chain management or inventory control within a retail or e-commerce workplace.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to perform demand planning, procurement, and sourcing activities effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (e.g., AS400), and 3PL logistics providers.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with a solid understanding of purchasing strategies and retail merchandising principles.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely if certified; otherwise willing to obtain certification upon hire.
