Role Summary The Inventory Replenishment Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the right inventory levels in Rankin Inlet to support both Rankin Inlet and Arviat operations. This role works closely with the Procurement team, Maintenance, and Properties teams to improve product availability, reduce downtime, manage inventory effectively, and ensure critical parts and supplies are available when needed.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Management & Replenishment
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels based on usage, demand, seasonality, and operational requirements.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the replenishment matrix.
- Monitor inventory gaps and proactively address potential stock shortages.
- Maintain sufficient inventory in Rankin Inlet to support timely replenishment and transfer of products to Arviat.
- Review inventory usage and adjust stocking levels as better consumption data becomes available.
- Identify opportunities to reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
- Support accurate inventory counts and overall inventory integrity.
Receiving & Inventory Control
- Receive products into the ERP system and ensure quantities and item information are accurate.
- Ensure inventory is properly labelled, organized, shelved, and easy to locate.
- Confirm items are correctly received, transferred, and sold through the appropriate system processes.
- Maintain accurate SKU-level information to support inventory reporting and replenishment decisions.
Procurement & Purchasing Coordination
- Work collaboratively with the Winnipeg Procurement team to support purchasing requirements for Rankin Inlet and Arviat.
- Coordinate and consolidate purchasing requirements where practical to improve efficiencies and maximize cost savings.
- Communicate inventory requirements, shortages, and changing demand to Procurement.
- Ensure intercompany transactions are completed accurately using established margins and appropriate SKU-level billing.
- Provide findings, recommendations, and updates to management.
White Glove Service
- Receive parts requests from Maintenance and Properties personnel.
- Process orders submitted via email and/or a future internal ordering system.
- Act as a “personal shopper” for trade staff by:
- Pre‑picking required parts
- Ensuring parts and materials are ready upon crew arrival
- Billed out correctly by sku and account
- Improve work efficiency and reduce lost time for trades through proactive parts readiness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Retail Management, or a related field is an asset.
- 2–4 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, purchasing, retail operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- Experience working with inventory replenishment and inventory-control processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with ERP, purchasing, inventory-management, or replenishment systems is an asset.
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
