Role Description The Internet of Things (IoT) Engineer will design, develop, and maintain connected device solutions that integrate wearable hardware with cloud-based and mobile applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and testing IoT prototypes, configuring devices such as Raspberry Pi, writing and reviewing software code, and troubleshooting system performance and connectivity issues. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, optimize device communication, and ensure data privacy and security across all IoT components.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Ontario,



Canada, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility to support collaboration and focused development tasks.

Qualifications

- Strong Internet of Things (IoT) skills, including architecture design, device integration, and communication protocols.
- Software Development and Programming skills for embedded systems, applications, and cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computers for prototyping and deployment.
- Familiarity with Inductive Output Tube (IOT) or related hardware concepts is an asset.
- Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity best practices, and data privacy in connected device ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in safety-focused or consumer device products is beneficial.
